1. Introduction
Welcome to Tailored Moments! We’re so glad you’re here. Before you explore our website (Your website address), please take a moment to read through these Terms of Service (“Terms”). They outline how you can use our website and what you can expect from us. These Terms govern the services provided by Tailored Moments, a registered Marriage Celebrancy Business operating in Australia, to you, the client.
By engaging in these services and using our website, you agree to follow these Terms. If you don’t agree with any part of them, it’s best to stop using our site.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking: To secure your wedding date, or any other service, a non-refundable booking fee of 50% is required at your first official meeting when you have committed to engaging Tailored Moments and are in attendance to sign the necessary pre-ceremony paperwork, discuss ceremony plans etc. The booking fee will be credited towards the total fee for services.
2.2 Payment: The total fee for the celebrant services will be confirmed at the time of booking and must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the wedding date. Payment may be made via bank transfer.
2.3 Additional Fees: Any additional services requested outside the initial agreement (e.g., travel outside the agreed location, rehearsal, etc.) may incur additional charges. These will be discussed and agreed upon in writing prior to the event.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Client: If the Client wishes to cancel the booking, the Client must notify the Celebrant in writing. The booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances. If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the wedding, the full fee remains payable, unless an alternative date that is suitable for the celebrant can be scheduled.
3.2 Cancellation by Celebrant: If the Celebrant is unable to fulfil the services due to illness, emergency, or any other unforeseen circumstance, the Celebrant will notify the Client as soon as possible. In such cases, the Celebrant will refund all fees paid, including the booking fee, and attempt to provide a suitable replacement celebrant, subject to availability.
4. Services Provided
4.1 Ceremony Design: The Celebrant will work with the Client to design a personalised ceremony, which may include vows, readings, selection of music, and other elements as requested.
4.2 Marriage Registration: The Celebrant is responsible for the legal completion of the necessary marriage paperwork. The Celebrant will lodge the completed marriage documents with the appropriate government authorities after the ceremony.
4.3 Travel and Accommodation: Travel within 80 kilometres of the wedding is included in the service fee. For ceremonies outside this radius, additional travel costs may apply, including accommodation if necessary.
5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 Legal Requirements: The Client is responsible for ensuring they meet all legal requirements for marriage in Australia, including providing the necessary documents (e.g., birth certificates, passports, statutory declarations, etc.) to the Celebrant in advance.
5.2 Conduct: The Client is responsible for maintaining appropriate conduct during the ceremony. The Celebrant reserves the right to cancel or terminate the ceremony if there are any serious disruptions or unlawful behaviour.
5.3 Venue: It is the Client's responsibility to book the wedding venue and/or seek the necessary permit from the appropriate local council if the wedding is to be held at the beach or in a public park. The local council usually requires at least six weeks notice.
6. Liability
6.1 Liability Limitation: The Celebrant will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to weather, venue issues, or third-party actions.
6.2 Force Majeure: The Celebrant is not liable for failure to perform services due to acts of God, natural disasters, or any other event beyond their control.
